Omayhra Mota Unusual Beauty

I always find myself arguing with people who say she's ugly or masculine. Her gender bending/tough girl looks are what make her shine. I think of Omayhra as a kind of bug of paradise. She's like a dragonfly beautiful and a little bit terrifying. Most models are interchangeable but models like her and Alek are works of art that only a true artist (and others who are unconventional beauties) can understand, appreciate and celebrate.

I always thought Alek Wek is one of the most beautiful supermodels out there. She has that "baby doll" look that has always inspired my paintings.

I've been into horror movies a lot more lately. More than usual. Beautiful horror movies interest me more so. Especailly Giallo. Most people love or hate this movie. Or have never seen it at all. I wish someone would remake it as a student film so I could be in it. lol

Lula is still the girl of my dreams #8

I finally got my very own copy of Lula #8 looked for it every where. My father happened to be in Barnes and Noble today and for the heck of it I asked him if they had Lula Mag there. And to my surprise they did! Lula I am so proud of you and this issue. I feel like every time I get Lula mag I never want it to end. I love the pastel colors and the "attic find" feel they bring to their shoots. Not to mention more women (and girls) of color this time. I love Lula but in past issues we were pretty scarce. Love love love them.

Pirate Girl

Every now and then I finish my drawings and or paintings. I'm trying something new this year...I'm actually finishing things I've started. Here are the rules: Create something new everyday, finish what I start,think positive, remember my accomplishments,appreciate my beautiful life and really truly live in the moment. This new way of life has been really working for me. Here are one of my accomplishments this week.

Going to KuKulaland

I have been following the works of Kukula for about two years now. Her world is full of interesting "dolls" and their animal aquantiences. It is a world where I'd fit in perfectly. Rusalochka (The Little Mermaid)

Ever since I was a small child I had an obsession with mermaids. They were all I drew, talked and dreamt of. My fixation with mermaids sprang from my interest in the sea. I was creating a curriculum based on the deep sea and sea monsters in my past spring semester in school and I was on YouTube looking up Mermaids, when I came across this version of The Little Mermaid. Rusalochka very close to the Hans Christian Anderson version. What I love about this version is the cinematography, the casting is also wonderfully done; the mermaid is gorgeous (that green hair!) prince charming isn't so that bad either :p

What I have posted here is a well done fan-made video that I can't stop watching lol.

A place for everything...

Hello There!

I had a conversation with my niece this morning about how I am a collector of things...Not just material things but stories, music, art influences, ideas etc... I have a place for just about everything that I own: A place for shoes, bags, doo-dads, hats, undergarments...Then I started thinking, "Where am I going to store all of this information that has been floating around in my head?", and then I thought aloud, "I should create a blog!" So here it is. Took me long enough to create it. But i did it and now there is a spot to store 10% of what is on my mind artistically, spiritually, musically and so on. More to come...
